Tiny Dancer, Not so tiny anymore!

Our unusual pet, Tiny dancer, has grown quite a lot since we got him:

 From this tiny duckling, she has grown into this strong, confident duck who is now living in the comfort of her own duck aviary with a homemade duck pond with a filter system (pictures are to come later). We think she is a mallard, but I'm not that convinced.

You may be wondering how our suburban family came across a wild duck. Well, my dad is a fireman/paramedic. So one day, his department got a call saying that 5 little ducklings got trapped in a storm drain and their mother ran off in fright. So, he went on the call and only managed to save 1 duckling (Tiny Dancer). And as it turns out, we got to keep it. And, just for your reference, we have had ducks before. When my 5th going into 6th grade sister, Audrey, was in 2nd grade, she had a teacher who raised ducks as a science project, and she gave them to us. Unfortunately, at the end of the summer, we had to give them away, but we gave them to a nice farm in a neighboring city. Now, after this duck flies away, my parents are thinking about getting 3 poultry ducks that lay eggs! so, I'm very excited!

Summer Party!!!

Ok, I have to admit, I LOVE a good party. And today, my wonderful adoring mom threw our homeschool friends a party at the park! What a fun way to start up the summer!

Yesterday in a Nutshell (even though I posted earlier that day)

Ok, so yesterday was the last day of school for me. So, it is tradition to go eat lunch and get some ice cream with friends after school. But, as you may know... I was sick...

...but my friends don't to know that.

So, we went to the best burger place in town, Chars (in my opinion). But, there meat truck broke down, and they only had polish dogs, chicken sausage, french fries, and 1 hamburger. Thank god they found that burger! I ordered 1 chili cheese fry and 1 burger. Then, after we ate, we went to Double Rainbow to get some ice cream!

After that fiasco, mom took us to see Tomorrowland, aka the BEST MOVIE EVER! ...And ate at the Black Bear Diner, where i ordered a sweet cream waffle and whipped cream and strawberries! #sofun!!!

that was yesterday! Talk about best last day of school ever!!!

Thank the lord... ITS SATURDAY!!!! (lets party)

OMGGG! Finally, the weekend!
Ahhhhhh... just what I need. a day full of jammies, Animal Jam (computer online game), talking on the phone with friends, and plenty of junk food. Oh, and also blogging!

I decided that this was my first order of buisness for the summer! 2 weeks from now, is my dance recital, and three days after that...

Actually, I'm not, and for one reason... 

I'm sick.

Ok, so earlier this week, I had a sore throat. Then, on Wednesday, I started sneezing like crazy, so I thought... Allergies. Because when it comes to allergens, I'm (usually) a snotty mess. But, of course, the next day, I woke up with a bad cough, headache, mucus-filled nose, and a sore throat. So now, it's Friday, and I feel sick. Not as bad as yesterday... but still sick.

Ugh, just what I need on the last day of school! 

OMG!!! 4 day weekend is just what I need before school ends (which btw, ends on friday!)

WHEW! that was a long title! So, anyhow... I've pretty much been on the computer all day (or whatever gadget I happen to be on, IPad/Computer/TV/Wii/3DS... etc.) and I went to my friend's house for the day. but thats pretty much it! and now, I feel like this:

So, yeah. And, I just found out, that I'm going to colorado this summer!

HELLO COLORADO!!!!!!

Last summer, we didn't go to the family reunion, so this year, I'M PSYCHED TO BE GOING SOMEWHERE FOR 3 WEEKS! The last time we went to a reunion, it was in South Dakota. And the year before that, FLORIDA!!!!

Thats all the news I have today, so.... hopefully I can blog later tomorrow (don't count on it... I may go hangout with my bffs!)

The final stretch of school (with mixed emotions to come)

Oh. My. Gosh. School is almost over!!! And my brain is ready to quit. But, I'm also really dumbfounded at how fast this year has flown by. I'm like:

All my thoughts are mixed up with my emotions, which is making me all like:

 Seriously, I can't control myself! Today, I cleaned and reorganized my den. And thats really unusual, because I am a really messy person. Last week, My sister, Audrey, told me to clean up my den, which looked like it survived a hurricane. But I told her that I prefer the term "organized chaos" and that she can't tell me what to do. I think I might be suffering from Depressed-lazy-otosis!
