ZZZZAAAAPPPPPPPP! my first 4- hour power outage

            OK, so it was a peaceful Thursday evening, and me and my 2 sisters patiently await our father's arrival. He is a firefighter\ paramedic and he has been gone for a week, trying to get Christmas off duty. We were watching T.V, unaware of the huge car crash causing the power box to catch fire. All of a sudden the T.V shut down. Before you could say ZAP, it was Pitch black all over the street. In the distance, i could hear my youngest sister crying. The relieving sound of my mothers voice coming toward me then a warm grasp of her hand i got gathered in the kitchen with my other sisters. Then, the power came on again. With some relief, i picked up the phone and called my friend, while Mom grabbed some candles. When all of a sudden..... BBBBZZZTTT! Beep beep beep beep, the phone said as I hung up. As soon as i looked up, the power glitched then completely went out. Then a glow from upstairs came running toward us. It was Mom, holding 1 lit candle, 6 candles unlit, and 1 flashlight. then we heard the garage door open. I thought aloud '' how can it open without power?!?!??!?!?!?'' Then the door creaked and a light came flashing in. It was dad, carrying 7 other flashlights.

        We had been waiting for 2 hours now. To ease my sisters' fear, i gave them each a blue raspberry Jolly Rancher. Finally, it was time to go to bed. we all slept in my youngest sisters room. it was peaceful for 2 hours then......... BBBBBBBBBBBBZZZZZZZZZTTTTTTTT POP! the power was back on. Blinding lights filled the house. soon mom turned them off and we fell back to sleep at 10:00 P.M.

holiday cheer!!

      To a typical kid, Christmas means nothing more than Ho Ho Ho's and presents, but of course since i am older than my 2 younger sisters, I understand what christmas really means. Usually on Christmas, santa spoils me with presents and gifts, but this year me and my 9-year-old sister decided on 2 Things that we truly want. Most of the time, my gifts are usually a secret between-me-and-santa thing, but since this is my first year of blogging, I decided to start a tradition on telling my future followers what I want for christmas and this year it happens to be....  well..... um...... maybe it'll be easier to tell you the whole story:

    One day sometime in the summer my sister and I were fighting [once again] on our bunk beds. Lots of youngsters know this if they share a room. Anyways, mom called us in to show us these awesome loft beds. They were white and there was a top bunk to sleep on. On the bottom of the loft, there was each a desk and a dresser with a book shelf! When me and my sister returned to our huge room, that didn't seem to huge to us, we got an idea. If we got those loft beds we'd droop a curtain over the door way to our desk area so we'd have our own space! Now me and my sister had a total of 2 bake sales, 6 lemonade stands, and 1 huge yard sale. The total of money raised was $564. 44.

    So, now you know the whole story. If we got our beds, we'd have a whole lot of money to spend on other toys, so the process is very winning to both sides! Santa Claus makes 2 loft beds and we get the beds and the leftover money to spend on other toys.

brief follow up

I am sorry i haven't posted in a while, but i was busy in the wonders of home schooling. As my small majority of followers know i am supposed to be 10 but in the many months I have not posted I recently had a birthday and i'll give you a brief follow up on what has happend in the last few months;

     In the summer, i went on a trip to south dakota for a family reunion, in which we happend to have driven there in our minnie winnie [ short for winnabego, a type of R.V] i have to say, i was quite the allaberate trip! My favorite place to stay was the C'mon Inn. [ such a cute catch phrase!!! ] It was designed to look like a log cabin in hotel form, but the decor was just AMAZING! there were 6 first-come-first-serve private hot tubs in the middle of the hotel. the main pool and HUGE hot tub was located at the back of the hotel. it was just an amazing expirience for me and my 2 sisters!

     As fall came, I was especially thrilled because this was the first year of my home school experience. i meant to write to my followers in the wonderful world of blogs, but i was caught up in projects and other stuff. Meanwhile, on thanksgiving break I ended up with turkey bits up my nose and mashed potatos in my hair to entertain the children. one day my cousins and I went to this amazing park and it was quite the adventure identifying each kind of duck [ the previous summer we raised baby ducks and I got quite the large education in the world of ducks ] and spinning ourselves 'til we were SO dizzy on the marry-go-round [ i took advantage of this on account of not many of those around anymore ].

        So, that is my brief followup on my life.
